If you are caring for a parent, spouse, friend, child or client, your life is a balancing act. You want to provide the best care possible, but if you're like many caregivers, you have many other commitments, including job and a family.

The Family Caregiving Training program offers you a helping hand by providing 7 information-packed topics that can help you provide better care to your loved one or client

Certificates through the American Red Cross are offered on the following topics:

1. Positioning and Helping Your Loved One Move

2. Assisting with Personal Care

3. General Caregiving Skills

4. Caring for the Caregiver

5. Legal and Financial Issues

6. Home Safety

7. Healthy Eating

Course fees are as follows:

$25.00 per topic includes course fees and materials

Caregiver Support Services has partnered with the Heartland Chapter to provide this service

Course fees for the course are as follows:

$395.00 for the Course, Textbook and Testing Fees.

Registration Requirements:

· Student must be 16 years of age.

· Be of good moral character

· Must have the ability to perform on at least a basic level

· Your course registration fee is required to hold your slot in the class as registrations are on a first come, first served basis.
